Jharkhand to implement XLRI Report

State to Tap XLRI Plans


The Telegraph, Jamshedpur, Feb. 15: The state government intends to implement the Jharkhand Development Report, which was prepared by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI).

State chief secretary M.K. Mandal — who visited XLRI last evening and held a meeting with the institute’s director Father Casimir Raj — said the Planning Commission has accepted the state-specific development report.

“The Planning Commission has sought an interaction with the government and XLRI experts before implementing the suggestions put forth in the 265-page report. We will soon hold a workshop in this regard,” he added.

XLRI had prepared and submitted the comprehensive report, which deals with the various developmental aspects that the state ought to undertake to ensure overall development....
