ENSEMBLE 2003 Attracts Record Participation

Ensemble '03, the annual inter-Business school festival, nay extravaganza of XLRI, held on November 7, 8 and 9 proved to be a grand success. Ensemble attracted participation from 22 Business Schools including the IIMs, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, NITIE, IIFT and XIMB. Tata Steel and the Department of Industries, Jamshedpur were the prime sponsors of the event. Other main sponsors included AIADA, Bharat Petroleum, BOC, Career Launcher, Ernst and Young, Nestle and Ogilvy and Mather.

Ensemble comprised a variety of events spaced out over the three days – events designed to highlight analytical skills, innovation and the spirit of competition among the managers-in-the-making. The flagship event this year was Assembly Extreme which tested the skills of 3 member teams to work in concert in all functional areas of management.

Ensemble kicked off with the Annual Quiz on November 7 – Xquizzite. Other events in the fray included Poonji, the traditional Stock Market game, Lekh the biggest paper writing competition in the B School Circuit, Ad shop, hosted by Ogilvy & Mather and Advertix, a Strategy game. While Ernst & Young organised Xigency – the HR Case Study Competition, Xtreme Biz – the Marketing and Finance Game and Xtracts, the IR Case Study Competition were other prime attractions.
